Fort Defiance This historic site is the former home of Revolutionary War
hero General William Lenoir. Located on Hwy. 268 (near Patterson School), the
site offers tours and events throughout the year. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Historic Society Heritage Museum The museum, which highlights the county's history from
pre-colonial to present day, offers a variety of exhibits, memorabilia and
artifacts. Tours available. Call for tour information and hours. Located in
former Davenport College building next to Davenport School, downtown. Tuttle Educational State Forest Trails with "talking" trees and exhibits. Ranger
