Green River Plantation

Tour this 1804 home that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. A magnificent nineteenth century, forty-two room mansion resting on three hundred sixty-six acres of land that reflects the gentility and refinement of the old, pre-Civil War South. The Plantation is also available for weddings, special occasions, bed and breakfast weekends Lunch and/or dinner can be provided.


Polk County Museum


Come see this fine collection of historic artifacts, located in the historic Tryon Train Depot. Open Tuesday's and Thursday's ten to noon or by appointment. 828-894-2287 


Rockhouse Vineyards


 Tour this vineyard and unique rock house, taste the wines and even buy a bottle to take home with you. You can also bring a picnic.   Open Thursday - Sunday 1pm to 5pm.


Pacolet River Scenic Byway


Drive along this scenic 10 mile byway that follows the Pacolet River from Tryon to Historic Saluda.  View waterfalls, wildflowers and beautiful vistas.


Tryon Fine Arts Center


Located in the heart of Tryon, the Fine Arts Center  has been a focal point for entertainment and the arts  since 1969. View outstanding performances or learn a new craft.
Affiliates include the Carolina Camera Club, Tryon Concert Association, Tryon Crafts, Inc., Tryon Painters and Sculptors,  and the Tryon Little Theater.
