The Appalachian Cultural Museum
Experience the premiere museum of the Appalachian region. The Appalachian
Cultural Museum features exhibits ranging from fossils to mountain music, looms
and weaving to self-portraits by mountain people. Spend an hour or an afternoon
exploring Appalachian natural and cultural heritage. The Appalachian Cultural
Museum is open year-round. Located in Boone on University Hall Drive, just off
Blowing Rock Road.

Grandfather Mountain
Be inspired by the views from the highest point in the Blue Ridge and escape to
a nature sanctuary of global importance. Cross the famous Mile High Swinging
Bridge, photograph native wildlife in natural habitats and hike some of the
South's finest alpine trails. US 221 two miles north of Linville and one mile
south of the Blue Ridge Parkway at milepost 305, 15 miles south of Blowing Rock.

Mystery Hill
It's a fascinating exploration of science, optical illusion and natural
phenomena. Tour includes the Mystery House where visitors stand at a 45° angle,
the Hall of Mystery, the Puzzle Room, and Bubble-Rama. Also features Appalachian
Heritage Museum and the Native American Artifacts Museum with 50,000 relics.
